PARENTS

Better together

When parents and practitioners work together in the setting, the results have a positive impact on children's learning and development.
We encourage parents to share their opinions about our setting and play an active part in fundraising so that we can provide fun and relevant resources.

SCHOOL POLICIES

The first few years of your child’s life is a time of magic and wonder. We understand the importance of these years, and dedicate ourselves to making them positive and productive. Our school policies are dictated by this philosophy, and designed for your child’s optimal learning and growth.

CURRICULUM

The Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted registered early years providers must follow the EYFS, including child minders, preschools, nurseries and school reception classes.

Curriculum

The Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted registered early years providers must follow the EYFS, including child minders, preschools, nurseries and school reception classes.

The EYFS covers 7 areas of learning:
3 Prime areas
  • Personal Social and Emotional Development
  • Physical Development
  • Communication and Language
4 Specific areas
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design
In order to cover the entire curriculum and make it relevant to our children we provide activities that are always available and some are specific and focused.
For you to share our vision with us, and to show how each area links to the EYFS, we have complied a more comprehensive list, which you can download below.
